I've got an old raised-tank toilet in the basement of a house I just bought. The bowl was clamped to the drain line coming up from the floor by a wire 2-piece clamp that tightened with 4 nuts. The clamp was totally rusted and one of the bolts broke off when I bumped it. I took a picture of the clamp to a local plumbing supply house where I was told that type of clamp is no longer manufactured.

Does anyone know the type of clamp I am talking about and if I could find one, or how about an alternative clamp that could be substituted?

I reluctently enter Speedball's domain, because he's the man for plumbing, but he might be busy at the moment. If the pipe that comes out of the floor has a flare at the top just like the regular toilet flanges, we might have a fix. A friend had a rusted out mounting ring that the bolts attach to. The guy at the plumbig store came up with (he said) a new product: a two piece stainless mounting ring that comes apart so it can fit under the flare. Then the two halves are attached together with screws. The bowl is then mounted to this ring. I hope that fits your situation.
