    Water tube freezes
Hello... I have a kenmore side by side fridge. The water is constantly freezing in the tube. (never a problem with the ice maker just the water). I use a hairdryer to thaw it out but wonder WHY it freezes. Is this a common problem or could it be because our house sits on a slab not on a basement? Any suggestions on how to fix this problem?

    Thanks

The water valve could be leaking when not calling for dispenser water. This allows water to accumulate in the line and freeze. Usually replacing the valve does the trick.
