    Driving Me CRAZY
This is long -- so please bear with me. I saw this movie about 20 or so years back. I cannot remember any of the people in the movie except I think it was made either in England or Australia. There was one character that reminded me of Bryan Browne from Australia - but I have not been able to find a film for him in his filmography that fits this description.

This movie is a sci-fi kind of film. When the story opens up we see a pretty much deserted city. There are just a hand full of survivors and there are empty cars, crashed airplanes that have fallen from the sky because no one was flying them, etc. It seems we have developed a power grid that allows the cars, planes, and other machinery to simply receive their power without having to plug in or be connected in any way.

When the grid came on line it made just about everyone "disappear". The handful of survivors are trying to figure out what happened. It turns out that each of these surviving people were dying at the exact moment the grid came online. Some of them of illness, and some were committing suicide at that exact moment. If you were dying at that time -- you lived. If you were alive at that time -- then you either died or disappeared.

Finally -- at the end of the movie it is decided by the male lead character (the one who looked like Bryan Browne to me) that the power grid must be brought down. He ends up ramming a big 18 wheeler truck or something like that into the machine and as the grid comes crashing down he is assumed to be dead since the truck burst into flames and he has disappeared.

The last scene of the movie is this male character standing on a different planet. There are different moons an planets in the distance and he seems to be standing alone --- or possibly with the others from our planet who have disappeared as well.

That was the end of the movie.

The only other notable thing I could tell you about this movie is that there was a full male frontal nudity scene -- which is a little unusual.

I have tried over the years to search by plot, by genre, by full frontal nudity, etc. It has driven me crazy not being able to find this movie. My older sister went to see this movie with me when we were both teenagers --- and she remembers it like I do. She does not remember any stars in the movie - but agrees with me about all the plot points.

    Can anyone help??

    Thanks,

Thunder1963 I am also confused as to why you gave a "reddie" to Sneeze? He was only trying to assist you with a suggestion/answer to your question.

My apologies to all. I did not see the answer from Sneezer. That was indeed the correct movie and I am very appreciative.

I did not see your answer --- I only saw the other items that popped up which were:

"I really hope that God has the capacity for forgiveness that Christians claim, because I am going to test the absolute outer limits" and "If all goes to plan, my presence on AHMD will be severely impaired until September 2018".

Since I missed your fine answer and only saw these items I jumped to the wrong conclusion.

    Again I apologize.

    Peace to everyone.
