    misdemeaner violation of prob
I take random breathalizer, for alcohol, test weekly. Probation will be complete in 14 days. My last test was positive. I had bee sick and took some liquid nyquil and benadryl 30 minutes earlier. That could be the only reason due to my research after the fact.

When you go for a test you should always take any meds with you and tell them what and how much you took before the test.
They may think that you are just trying to cover yourself now that you know it came back positive.

Re-read your terms of probation. I'm sure you will find the mention of medications containing alcohol. Not an excuse.

You should have received very specific written info from your PO about the conditions of your probation, including over the counter drugs.

This is post literally all the time by people in Pennsylvania who cannot pass the breathalyzer machine which is affixed to their car. And it's always Nyquil and it's usually benadryl.

If you did get written warning, then the "I was sick" argument is not going to work because people Nyquil has a high percentage of alcohol and is abused on a regular basis by people unable to their hands on alcoholic beverages.

Also Listerine has an enormous amount of alcohol in it. If alkies can't get the real thing they like Listerine as a substitute in a pinch as well.
