Saw low water in commode so I added water and it all disappeared
I live in a downstairs condo. I noticed the water was low in my commode, so I added water to where I felt the bowl had enough water at the normal level. (I filled the bathroom trash can with water and pored it in the bowl) Then without a flush almost all that water disappeared. I checked the top tank and it was at the usual level and the float was up and it all looked fine. Now I am afraid to flush the toilet because I can not figure out where all that water went that I added.

It went down the drain. If you add water to a toilet it goes down the hole. Flush it, it will be fine.

I saw this post a bit ago and gut reaction is what tickle said and 100% right. Just for kicks and giggles here goes
How long have you had this toilet and when did the water start going down the hole?
When you used the waste basket and filled up the bowl how long to drain bowl again? In the tank is the flapper good and seals. Is this toilet a low flow?
