Feedback on ge washers and dryers
    Hi there,
I'm looking at replacing my washer and dryer and I'm looking at GE - most likely frontloading for the washer and electric for the dryer, energy star for both I'd like to stay in the ballpark of around $1500 total - any suggestions of experiences you could share?

    Thanks

I run a pair of older Maytags with the manual timers but Maytag has been bought out since these were made. Have you looked at Consumer reports? They do test the machines and I believe give a honest report. The problem today is they are always making the machines cheaper so what may have been a very good machine 5 years ago might be junk today an so it is hard to recommend new products since someone's experience with a 5 year old GE or other brand might be good but the one you buy today might be not so good 5 years from now. Sorry but that is the way it is with appliances.
