My current husband makes a very good living. His ex wife makes a decent salary- not as much as him obviously. However, just about half of his salary goes toward child support (understandably) and maint. At the end of the day she ends up making more than the two of us put together! She sold the house they shared and bought a new one, while we are struggling to get one ourselves. I can't help but be jealous of her and her lifestyle. She has made off better in divorce than when she was married. I have been letting this eat me up and I just don't know how to move on from it. I know it's just money- and I'm very happy with my husband but am extremely resentful that we have to struggle. Any suggestions to help?

You got the best part of the deal. You got the man. Money doesn't keep you warm at night. The other side to that is that she very well may be kind of struggling too. I say that because when there are children involved child support generally only covers a portion of what these wonderful little monsters cost on a daily/monthly basis. I say monsters in the most light hearted way possible. I love children. So I'm saying she has bills and struggles too I'm sure of it. Everything always looks better outside looking in. My advice to you, keep on keeping on and don't pay attention to what she has. She doesn't have the husband.
