    Full Custody
OK. My ex and I divorced last year. The first 4.5 years of my son's life (while married) I basically was a single parent. My ex did nothing with his son. I had him with me 24/7. When we got divorced, he fought for joint custody where he have him equal amounts of time. I still have primary though. He only did this so that he wouldn't have to pay full child support.

Well now, there are a lot of issues. And I want to file for full custody. I truly believe that he doesn't really care to spend time with his son, because when he has him, they don't play or do much together. His girlfriend (whom he got pregnant before our divorce was final) lives with her parents and he lives with his. My son told me yesterday that daddy doesn't live there anymore and that him and his girlfriend with her child and their child together live somewhere else. I asked him where he sleeps and he said still at his grandparents house. Nice!

Any advise on fighting for full custody? I love my son more than anything and would rather have him than for his father to pawn him off when it's his turn.

There is also the possibility that my new husband might be transferred to another state about 9 hours away.

File for full custody and when it goes to court tell the Judge the whole situation and that they are not even taking care of him anyway.

Thanks. I really have no doubt that I would win. Any advise on lawyer fees? I don't think mine does payments and she asks for $4500 up front. Although, she is one of the best around.
