    Shoplifting- criminal record check
I have recently been caught shoplifting. I am waiting for my court date in February. I have to get a criminal record check done for work and I am wondering if it will show up on my check. This is my first offence.

Tell us, cat09, about the shoplifting. You were caught, maybe a first offence, we don't know that. But if you are looking for a job, then you have to keep your nose clean otherwise people won't hire you.

    So, tell us more

If you are just arrested and have not been tried yet ( unless you plead guilty) it will not show up yet.

You should have an attorney and try and get the theft charge dismissed after you do probation and other requirements
