    Can foreign embassies check my criminal record in other countries?
    Say,if I am applying visa to France,or us,can they check my record immediately in UK,or Malaysia or so?

    I don't know which foreign governments have access to our NCIC database. I'll bet the western nations do, and I'll bet the others don't.

    OK,I have a theft case in singapore(for oens worth 10 usd,can you believe?), I am not singaporean, and I need to go us, I am not sure if they can check...

    What do you think?I need a visa to go us anyway, but will they check?I have good record going us twice,what about if I apply for student visa
