I recently moved in and the thermostat connected to 2- 2000 watt baseboard heaters shorted out. The burnt out thermostat only had 2 wires, a black and white. Was it the wrong kind? Was it for a single baseboard heater? I purchased a double line dimplex thermostat to replace it. I have 240 VAC....

My baseboard heat is about 25 years old . Each room with its own thermostat . I want to replace with something better but cannot properly I d what I have now . The only thing I can find on it is the # 859M. Does this ring a bell with anyone?

I have an older pool heatpump that needs 220v 25amps. I have 10/2 wiring to a 25 amp breaker in my box. I test 120v on each (black & white) to the ground wire. Nothing seems to work.
