    Shower handle leak
My shower-only symmons handle is leaking. A couple of months ago the shower head leaked, I took off handle, and replaced hot washer, and leak stopped. Now water comes out of handle. Hot, cold, o-ring replacement were all suggested. Which one and how is it done? Thanks!

    Hi Jenna...

You need to remove the handle again and the chrome ring/sleeve and then tighten the packing nut under the handle.

Take the handle and the chrome sleeve off... then turn water on and see if it drips from the packing nut. If it does, tighten it a 1/2 turn and that should do it for you.

Let me know if need more...

Is the packing nut the big thing that has the spindle in it, and is hard to get off (need a lot of muscle!)?

The packing nut is number t-17 in the following picture.

It is the small nut t-17.. not the large one t-11

    Confirm you understand...

I think I do? I'm sorry! The one when you take off the handle and chrome plating that you see first?
