    Stove top connection
    I am unsure, the wires from my stove top are red, black, and green, which is positive, negative and ground wire?

    With AC, there is no potential defined to be positive or negative. In the US, the black and the red are 120 VAC with respect to the green wire and 240 VAC with respect to each other. We call the red and the black wires HOT and the Green ground.
