    When is it child abandonment?
    My ex husband hasn't paid child support or provided medical insur. For our 8 yr old daughter for over 3 years. I am trying to find out what the law's are in North Carolina on this subject. I have recently re-married and we are interested in adoption. My ex would never sign her over but also refuses to support her in any way. I have already been through the courts to force payment. Basically, no one in my county is doing their job.

    Please any help is MUCH appreciated

    If you want your husband to adopt, you will need an attorney to prepare the paperwork. So start shopping around for an attorney who can tell you what your chances of getting a TPR are.
