I am roughing in a kitchen sink with a disposal and also a pedistal sink in a bathroom// after reading a number of articles on this website it appears that the kitchen sink waste line is positioned 12 inches on ceter above the finished floor with the supply stub outs at the same height? About 8 inches apart? Hot water on left side? Can't the waste be a 1 1/2 tee or should it be 2x2x1/12 as I alresdy have a 1 1/2 vent in place // with the bathroom I will place the pedistal in position to determine the height 1 1/2 tee? With a provent ? And the supply lines with brass female threaded elbows// are those chrome supply nipples standard sizes? Thanks in advance for any pictures/ advise chip

Hello chip, the 1 1/2" vent will work fine for ytour kit. sink drain and dont stub out your drain any higher than 15" above finished floor, and put the drain 8" off center to the right or left on the opposite side of the disposal, the water centered and 8" apart as you mentioned. Make sure you get a cut sheet for your pedestal sink so you can set the drain and water supply's in the right locations and height, and the supplylines shouldn't be visible when put in the right location and height, so you shouldn't need to install chrome nipples unless they will be exposed, and 1/2" I. P. size is standard size for the shutoff valves. Goodluck on your project. ----zeke----

We never center drain under kitchen sink. You always want to put it to one side, opposite the GD. Water stub outs don't really matter that much since you will be working with flex connectors. As per the ped-lav: we place valves 22" high, and drain about 19-20" high. But this may vary depending on leg of your ped-lav. Some legs are open all the way down and some are half way closed. You don't want to place trap too low. It may hit the bottom opening in the leg. Dry-test it first: Place sink leg in front of the wall, hold trap in your hand and see where the inlet of the drain should be.
