    Electric world pool dryer doesn't turn on
    I have an older model world pool electric dryer that does not turn on. The elements heat but the tumbler doesn't rotate. I've checked the door switch & it works. Does anyone know what else it could be?

    Viper54 - #1 - check to see if you have a broken or loose drum belt #2 broken or loose idler spring and pully,# 3 - Drum is obstructed buy lint on foreign objects #4 - Defective suport roller ,#5 - Faulty motor , ::

    You said that The heating element heats but tumbler won't turn . Now if that is what it is doing then also include this in your checks - FAULTY START SWITCH OR YOU MAY HAVE A DEFECTIVE TIMER , :: Have a good day and GOD BLEESS ,good luck :: FG.B.E.

    VIPER54 - Look onpages 34 as of now but may be more pages back tomorrow , any way look for F.B.E. answers to dryer questions , I have on them of how to check out the different items that you need to check

I have a model number 66901691 Kenmore electric dryer. I have owned it for about 6 years. It will not turn on. The repair min. fee from Sears is $60. It is better to let them come out - or buy new? What could the problem be and what might the cost be? Any help is appreciated. Sharon
