Remote/wall siwtch compatibility for ceiling fan
I recently purchased a Hampton Bay ceiling fan with remote. Hooking it up was easy enough and it works fine. However, I would like to operate the light by either the remote or a wall switch so that I might turn on the light entering the room but turn it off via the remote also, Is this possible to so safely?

    Thanks

If your particular fan remembers the remote settings you can leave the light on on the remote and use the wall switch. Most do not.

Or you can buy an RF wall switch and set it to the same frequency as the fan and remote.

I purchased this fan about 4 years ago. The remote actually has a "REVERSE" button inside the outer fan speed and off button. I see that the newer models do not have this REVERSE button.
