Attack by a twelve year old!
:mad:My neighbor has a twelve year old daughter who has Aspberger's autism. Tonight she was throwing a tantrum while I was at their house. Her mother told me to take home the soda she had bought as punishment. As I picked up a bottle of soda, the 12 year old launched herself at me and scratched my face and arm to the point of bleeding. It took 3 people to get her off me! Her mother says I am acting like a two year old for being very upset (I am 66 years old) and will not accept responsibility for her hurting me. This is the fourth (and last) time in 7 months that this has occurred. Her mother was my friend until today. Do I have any legal recourse against her and her monster daughter? I have had quite enough of these people but I would like to see the mother punished for her cavalier attitude to wards me. Thank you for your help. By the way, I am 25 years older than the mother. She laughs and thinks it's a big joke! Thank you for your help.

Ok, so what do you want to do, press assault charges against an autistic child? From your description, the mother didn't tell her daughter to attack you, nor did she stand by idly while the attack occurred. In addition since this has happened before, you had to be aware the child was dangerous. Sorry, I don't see any legal recourse. Just stay away. |

I have to agree with Scott. You knew that the child had an illness, you knew of her potential for aggressive outbursts yet you continued to visit the home. With the knowledge of the child's nature, you knowingly put yourself in harm's way.
I also want to say that there is no reason that you should no longer be friends with this mother. Do you realize what a horrible condition Asbergers can be? This mother probably needs all the friends and support she can get. Do you wish more punishment on the mother than what she already has to endure with a child that has this disorder? I'm sure life is hard enough on her as it is. You really should be ashamed of yourself for calling her daughter a "monster." Aspbergers can be a terrible disorder for the child as well as the family. She is NOT a monster and should not be called as such. |

I love my pug pup, Annabelle, however lately she has been attacking me and wanting to play a lot, this is fine except that she tries to get my attention the wrong way by tugging at my pant legs and biting at my feet. First I need to add that I seem to have a form of social phobia. Ok.. When I go outside which is rare I seem to have these weird feelings.. They are becoming worse and happens almost every time I interact with people. I can't go into details because it's hard to explain but I'll do the best I can....
Very active... to sleeping all day and night, eating very little and not using the litter box at all. Have NEVER experienced this with any cat. I guess that a visit to the vet is very necessary. *sigh* :confused:
