    Fight for custody
My ex husband and I are both in the military, and we have joint custody of our son. He reenlisted to go to Germany right after the divorce and hasn't apent any true quality time with our son, however he has paid child support. I am deploying and have taken my son to live with my aunt until my return. I set everything up before I left my aun't house for our son and set up a monthly allotment as well to financially support him. Now my ex husband has been making numerous threats to fight for full custody of our son when he hasn't even been around and isn't concerned of what he is doing. It is the only way to try and break me down, and that is why he is doing this. Does he truly have better grounds even though I provide everything and I am the Custodial parent and have always been with my son except for this upcoming deployment. Advice on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Does he have a place to have the child with him? I know my best friend's husband was stationed in Germany for three years so she and their kids went with him and they had an apartment on base. If he has some sort of living quarters like that, rather than group housing, then he would stand a better chance of getting him but I'm honestly not sure what grounds he would use to gain full custody.

I can't see him getting full custody, but it's a possibility that he might get primary custody, if he can prove he can provide a better home environment. However, I think it's a long shot.
