Purging base board hot water heating system
Upon attempting to purge base board water heater system, inlet water on, hoses connected to zone purge valve, receive little flow and no pressure registers on system??

Also no bleader valvesm therefore this process is similar to filling the system

    Rick1...

There is usually a FAST FILL FEATURE on top of fill valve. Here, while filling boiler lift the lever on top of fill valve and see if that increases flow. If no lever then there will be a knob... turn the knob clockwise to see if this increases flow.

If that doesn't fix this then you need to determine why water is not getting into the boiler. There should be a nut at the fill valve... turn water off... remove/loosen nut and then turn water on again and see if you get a full stream (catch in bucket).

If no water then may be the fill valve or the boiler water feed shutoff.

Try these things and then get back to us with more...

There should be a union on side of the press reducing valve. And hopefully a shutoff valve between the boiler and the prv and another shut off before the prv.. If valved off correctly, you should be able to break the union and check for water before and after the press red valve. Most likely you have a plugged press red valve. Should be an easy fix(if, like I said, it is valved off correctly.
