Convex lens
The image of a candle is formed by a convex lens.If the lower half of the lens is covered with black paper,will still the full image of the candle be formed?

The answer is no. In order for image to form, light rays have to move from the object to the lens. Light rays do not move from the covered part of the candle. Therefore, image of the covered part of the candle will not be formed.
Rather, you will see image of black paper.

Hi Visharad and welcome to the forums - we like to not answer homework questions on this board, as this doesn't help students to improve their skills, instead we prefer to prod them in the right direction, as the above answerers did. I hope you will follow with our approach.
