    Water under my bathtub
After Hurricane Ike, I have water damage in the bedroom that backs up to my bathroom . When I open the service door for the plumbing, there is water under the tub, a lot of water. Nothing leaks when the water runs or drains. It has been almost three weeks since the hurricane and there is still water under the tub. Is this groundwater or something that I cannot see with the plumbing? My insurance won't cover it unless it is a busted pipe.

    Thanks

Are you built on a concrete slab?

    Hi Sara,
If the tub dap-out's full of water that you can't dip out then it's a pretty safe bet that you have ground water intrusion. Try removing the wate runder the tub with a shop vac and get back to me with the results. Good luck, TYom

I also think it is ground water. It will take some time before it disappears. I would not worry about it...
