BSL poem
Heard quite a few things about breed specific the last few day on this site so I wrote a poem. Just wondering what everyone's thoughts are on it:
Loyal, loving and unjudging
Might I add never grudging
Always there
To help you through despair
Through thick in thin
They will and always have been
Able to make you grin
These are our dogs
Our partners on jogs
Our family, our friends
And without them our world would be at an end
But you see there is a problem
Certain breeds are being eliminated
Because those who are ignorant enough to have discriminated
And families are being broken
Those responsable are outspoken
And countless owners must sit and watch a there dogs bleed
Solely due there breed
But there is still hope
It's time to climb over this slope
If we all stand
Against this ban
I'll be waiting for BSL
And when it comes
I'll raise all hell
Because if there is 1 word my dog will never hear from me its Farewell

I love your dog picture! Your poem is very sincere, and shows how much love and respect you have for dogs, and the breeds that are targeted, just because their breed is misunderstood, or destined to be put to death just because they were born that breed. I understood your poem, and most people would feel the compassion, but it needs a little work on a couple of words..
"And countless owners must sit and watch a [should be as] there [should be their] dogs bleed
Solely due there [should be their] breed
What is BSL?
I think those should be looked at, let me know what you think?
I raised dogs all my life, on our family farm. I had the pleasure of breeding, training, and finding loving homes for German Shepherds, Akita, Chow Chow, Rottweilers, Dobermans, Pit Bulls, American Bulldog, Boxers, Collies, Siberian Husky, Labradors, Golden Retriever, Poodles, and any and all strays we encountered! Aaaah alas.. we gave them all the best chance with their training at having a good loving home!

Beautiful! Absolutely beautiful and very well written. I am strongly against BSL. No being should be discriminated against for crimes they never committed. BSL is immoral, and in my opinion unconstitutional.

Thanks you guys but I wrote this a long time ago. chicagostarbaby, when writing poems I try not to think about the grammar, there are a few typos, but while writing I do it only to ''speak'' the words I am unable to outloud.

I understand. Sometimes I find it a lot easier to express myself with the written word. Half of the time something gets lost in translation when I try saying them out loud.

D-Day
Twelve miles they crossed on the ocean that day
Ill unto death with the boat's sickly sway.
All this they forgot when they opened the door
And jumped from the boat toward the menacing shore.
Dragged down by their gear some drowned then and there.
They gasped their last breath and...

A Different Christmas Poem
The embers glowed softly, and in their dim

Outside the snow fell, a blanket of white,
