Replacing my home heating and air conditioning systems
I am replacing my home heating and air conditioning system. I have had many contractors with many different opinions and prices. What do you think of goodman products vs name brands like carrier or lennox. The price differential is about $5000.00 for comparable effecientcies.

    Thanks

Sometimes it comes down to bells and whistles or just old brand names. If I said compare an Chevy to a Caddie what comes to mind. They both have tires, wheels and engine and take you places but one is $5k more. Goodman has been around for years as have those others. If you are sure you are comparing apple to apples I'd take the low bid.

The most important item has not much to do with price. The quality of installation is the most important item. Check the contractors at the BBB and ask for opinions of your friends who live in the same area as you to see who they feel is the most qualified.
