Half-wall with cultred marble shower base
    Hello,

We're re-designing our master bath. We're looking at a 36 x 60 cultured marble shower base with frameless glass shower door/panels. We'd like a half wall and half glass on one side. Can you please explain to me how this would be built. Does the framing for the half wall go outside the shower pan? How do the glass panels then meet?

    Thanks,

    Kim

    Sounds nice.

The wall goes outside the base.

The glass person should have no problem. They can quote beforehand, but will only come to measure after everything is done (including tiles).

You can imagine that the piece of glass at 90deg angle to the half wall will have cut outs to follow the outline of the half wall. The other piece of glass will be a rectangle sitting on top of the wall. Glass corners are simply one piece of glass butting onto the other one. They use silicone to hold them together aloing the length of the butt joint.
