Is a 50/50 support coming from both of us fair enough on my part considering that we are not married? My daughter is now 1 year & 4 months old and it is very hard and shameful also on my part because my mother is the one providing my daughter's needs (financially)..
My guess - and that's all it is - is that he will be responsible for SOME support of the child. How much he can pay at this time depends, of course, on his income.
I've seen Courts order support and tell fathers to go and find work. I've seen Courts order small amounts of support.
And, yes, what the father does not pay is yours to pay. You wouldn't be ordered 50/50. He would be ordered to pay a dollar amount and the expectation is that you will pay the rest.
And thank you for coming back and keeping us informed - and also for the thank you. Very nice of you.
