Well water is suddenly full of mud.
We have well water and after 4 years of use we all of a suddden have muddy water, mu husband attached a hose and let the water run for a day and it started to clear up, but now after a day od fairly clear water our water is full of dirt again. We also notied that there was a lot of tiny little air bubbles in the water as it was trying to clear up that made the water look cloudy, does anyone have a solution or answer to our muddy well water troubles?

Sounds like a broken drop pipe down in the well. Do you have a submersible pump?

Sometimes if a drop pipe breaks down inside the well casing, it washes out against the casing when the pump is running. The spraying action stirs up stuff, and can make one think the well is caving in.

The only way to be sure is to pull the pump and see. Of course, I am assuming that it is a submersible pump.

Bottom line! Both Harold and Al agree that this isn't a repair for a homeowner.
Call in a well or pump man to access the situation and let you know what your up against. Good luck, Tom

Yesterday I noticed the water pressure in my kitchen sink (only- the rest of the house is fine) has decreased somewhat, and today it is down to little more than a trickle, I removed the aerator and no difference. This is a new faucet that was put on last year, could it be the faucet, or is it...

My hot water suddenly got hotter and is staying hot [ 2 Answers ]

Not sure if this is anything to get overly concerned about, so I thought I would ask before spending lots of money on a plumber. I have a 75 gal hot water tank and a water softener system. This past week our hot water that is coming out of all of our hot water spigots is VERY hot. I did not mess...

Suddenly - no hot water out of shower [ 1 Answers ]

All of a sudden the upstairs shower stopped getting hot water (or, stopped showering hot water). Even if you run the water for a while with the shower thingy pointed to "Hot" no hot h2o cometh. Sink next to shower gets hot fine. Any suggestions? Can I fix this myself? Ta!

Hot water pressure suddenly dropped [ 2 Answers ]
