    Child Abandonment?
I reside in the state of Georgia. I have custody of my two sons. My ex wife has not seen the boys in more than two years. She typically calls twice a week, but, has just up and disappeared in the past few months. I believe she has fled the state, her last call came from Ohio. I have NO phone number for her and no physical address. I have NO way of contacting her at all.Her parents have not heard from her either. She has not called our boys for more than a month now.

She has had many issues with the law and I believe has a warrant out for her arrest here in the state of Georgia. My fear is that she is planning something drastic and I worry for the safety and security of my sons.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks so much.

I'm not sure what your question is. If it is about abandonment then the answer is no there is nothing here to do with abandonment. Have you filed for custody through the court? If you have a specific question or even a couple questions it would be helpful to know exactly what you are asking. Other than that there are hundreds of other threads that deal with this same issue you would learn a lot by reading those.

I don't see what your issue is either. Right now, the mother is out of the picture so I don't see what danger exists. You already have custody so that's not an issue.

If and when the mother reappears, you can go back to court to modify any existing visitation schedule for supervised visits or to eliminate them entirely.

But I don't see any action that needs to or can be taken at this time.
