    US citizen with debt in Canada
    If a US citizen married a canadian was living in Canada now moves back to the US due to marriage is dissolving. What happens to the unpaid debt that was accumulated in Canada(credit cards debt)?

    The debt remains an obligation for whoever signed for that debt. If the creditor has offices or affiliates in the US, they can still sue you.
