I am also having a problem with my landlord, we moved in 12/06 and had numerous of issue with our maintenance work. i sent out letters, i called and i even went to the office to complain: they all keep telling me that they will get someone to look at it.... my bathroom wall next to the shower stall is filling up with water, i have water coming out from the walls every time you take a shower. i took pictures to show the office and they didn't even care, i was told that they will get to me when they can......

I spoke with the property manger, regional manger and even the owner of the property and i was told that it was going to get fix... and no one has been to my home yet..... how can i break my lease.... it does expire till 01-09 and my son has been getting sick since there is no ventilation in the bathroom..

First its not a good idea to piggyback your question on someone else's. This can lead to confusion. You should start a new thread. So I've moved your question to its own thread.

You send a certified kletter to the property manager with a copy to the landlord. Detail the problem (include your pictures) and state that if the repairs are not started immediately and finsihed in a reasonable amount of time, then you will:
    a) consider the landlord in breach of the lease and you will seek other accomodations; or
    b) hire someone to complete the repairs and deduct the costs from your rent.
