It's too early to have signs of pregnancy, right?
I visited the ophthalmologist for a fairly routine checkup last week. I have had a recurring eye problem brought on by an allergy to my contacts. I have horrible eyesight and have been wearing contacts for about 20 years now, so I'm really used to having my eyes being poked, prodded, etc. and I have no stress about seeing an eye doctor.

So he put some drops in, looked around, and as he begins to explain this condition following my exam, I start to feel a little bit sick to my stomach. As he continues talking, the feeling gets worse. I finally have to ask him to hold on as I am no longer able to listen - I put my head in my hands, then dropped my head in between my knees. It felt like a brick, and my body was so heavy I was unable to hold my arm up to take the glass of water the nurse was offering me. They told me I was really pale and I had the cold sweats for a looong time. Eventually, I did come around with the help of time, some water and some smelling salts (eww).

The doctor asked if I had eaten that morning (the app't was around lunchtime), and I said yes. I didn't eat much, but I did eat, which is more than I can usually say for myself.

Everybody else's answer (or rather, question) has been, are you pregnant? I just stopped using birth control (the ring) this month, but if pregnancy was the cause of my near-faint, I would have been 4 days pregnant or less when this episode happened, so that seems somewhat implausible to be showing signs that soon, right? I've had some stomach pain since then too, but I think I'm focusing on the pregnancy possibility and overthinking things.

    Anyone have any thoughts?

It could be pregnancy, but we can't diagnose you over the internet, you'll have to take an hpt, use first morning urine, or go to your doctor.

It could also be the flu, another stomach illness, you name it, we can only guess, a doctor can tell you for sure.

    Good luck.

In any case, it is very difficult to estimate the situation since evryone may have different symptoms on early pregnant. I advice you and all, that see your health care provider for checkup.

Pregnancy starts from the first day of your last normal menstrual cycle. If you would be only 4 days into it, you would still be on your period. If this is the case, look at how heavy your period is/was and if you are getting enough iron in your body. If you mean about 4 days after you ovulated then it is VERY possible you could be pregnant. Some people will say that there is no way you could be feeling symptoms already and that symptoms only show AFTER your missed af. However, this information is for the most part false. Pregnancy shows itself differently for all women. It is true that most women do not even know they are pregnant until after they miss their af and start showing signs, but some, myself included, start showing signs right away. The best way to find out is to wait a week and take an HPT. If you do not want to wait to long, go to the doctor's and request a blood quantitative test; these usually will show elevated HCGs faster. Regardless, you should start to record incidents like this and any other strange "symptoms" you may feel in the case you are not pregnant and are ill.
I hope all turns out well for you!!
