Having trouble getting pregnant, 31 y/o
I am 31 years old and have a 9 y/o son. I had 1 abortion one year ago. I been trying to get pregnant for a while. I have a lot of stress and bad diet. Sometimes my husband and I smoke marajuana. Is any of this preventing me from getting pregnant? What can I do to get pregnant fast.

First off, I just want to say you should be setting a better example for a nine-year old. You can't be a hypocrite when telling him to not do drugs. While this isn't really relevant to your post, it's my opinion.

Now, to the post. First, marijuana can lower sperm count. I would suggest cutting it out completely. And start a better diet for yourself, that's important for your child.

Now, how long have you been trying to get pregnant? Obviously less than a year.. What have you tried?

I would suggest both parents stop smoking (anything), and eat better, and let sex be fun.

Definitely quit smoking anything. It lowers oxygen to the baby and can lead to brain damage other types of damage and miscarriage. Eat better. Nature doesn't tend to let people get pregnant if their not healthy. Also it it importanat for the baby. Take a folic acid supplement in case you do get pregnant. By time you know it is later than you should start. You need it right at the start of the pregnancy. As far as getting pregnant is concerned, you can enlist the help of gravity to get the job done. After sex don't let the semen flow out. Stand on your head or do a back bend just pushing up from your hands and feet. Hold the position for a while so the semen can flow to where it needs to go.

Do the things you need to do. You can't imagine how hard it is to be a parent of a developmentally disabled child. I work with mentally incapable adults, and you know what? I now appreciate how difficult it would be to have a child with these sorts of diasbilities.
