    New roof
There's a question about a new roof which leaks and whether replacing the flashing should have been part of the contract in legal - Small Claims. I can handle the lawsuit part but the flashing? I have no idea.

Could somebody take a look at what should be included, maybe give some advice?

    Thanks -

Had the referenced job been for re-shingling only, not including the replacement of roof sheathing, the contractor might have a position. However the replacement of the roof sheathing would have necessitated the removal of any existing flashing. Therefore part of the job. Basic rule of repair, "You touch it, you own it."

I would advise having another contractor install flashing (and check work of first contractor) and deducting cost from amount owed. The part about subbing out the gutters is a scam.
I don't presume to give legal advise but I wouldn't worry about a lawsuit. Contractors like this just throw it out to see if it will stick. If it doesn't they just move on to the next venerable customer. They don't like the light of examination.
