    What is the likelihood
I just received a call today from an outside company. They stated that they were the finally call and that the credit card company may pursue legal action or judgement against me. The debt is $6000. What is the likelihood that they will garnish my wages for that amount of debt. If they do that then I will not be able to make my mortgage payments. What should be my next course of action?

Your next course of action would be to make payment arrangements with them
If possible. How old is the debt?

Check SOL. Unless a government debt, then chances are that they'd have to get a judgment before garnishing wages.

Also, check state statutes, they can't take all your wages.

The debt is about 2 years old. I stopped making payments around November of last year after my surgery. The company that called today said they only wanted to settle.
I just don't have the extra money to even make another monthly payment in addition to the other bills. I am currently a payment behind on my mortgage as well. I trying to stay above water.

Likelihood of sewer gas odor to disappear or linger in house after traps filled? [ 5 Answers ]

I'm concerned about a sewer gas odor in a new home being built. The sewer gas odor has been in there for a couple months already without ventilation apparently because the traps dried out. The builder says he will not take any action on it until the plumbing gets turned on and says the odor won't...
