    Abandoned cat
 Your answers are always so helpful, so I am asking here first.
The neighbors just packed up and took off, they left behind a young cat whom either just had kittens herself or lost her kittens. We don't know, but she does show the signs. We have two of our own cats and believe that is why she is hanging around our front porch. I have feed her a couple times by putting food at her house but don't know how much longer I can continue this. I always have water dishes outside for our own cats. The shelter is completely full and cannot take her for a few months. There is no way my husband wants her inside the house. Sugggestions? :(

Try looking for someone that mite like a cat for a pet! Maybe go around asking, maybe even put up some fliers for a free cat!

Do you know how long I have to wait after she was just left on her own? Also, the shelter said to screen people that reply to fliers and I know nothing about this cat. Second, the shelter said that a lot of people responding to free cats are interested in not using them as pets
Thank you so much for responding.

I would start with asking around your friends and work. That way you know something about their personality before you give the cat to them. You might also try googling and see if there are any cat rescue groups in your area that might be willing to take the cat.
