Gummy Smile & Lip Lowering Treatment
I have overbite and crossbite but my teeth looks perfectly nice and normal all the way across. My smiles are nice until I laugh/have big smile. It's not so much of the teeth but the gummy smile. I'm looking forward to get my braces the end of this year in hope that it will cure the gummy smile.

However, since I heard about Lip Lowering to Treat A Gummy Smile, I was wondering if anyone has gone through this process? How long does it take to heal and how much it costs?

    Thank you.

Hi funkyme... I've never actually heard of lip lowering but I would imagine like all surgery of this nature it would be pricey.

However if I were you I would be inclined to wait until the treatment with your braces is complete, with the correction that the braces will make you'll probably find that surgery will not be necessary.

These days you can get some really pretty braces... little flowers or whatever your preference, in assorted colours. It seems to be the latest craze here in the u.k, everyone wants one, where as years ago the design of braces made them uncomfortable to wear, consequently kids always took them out which of course left them with problems later.

I found a source in the midwest USA to have this done. You no longer have to travel to California.

Would it be a bad idea to put lowering springs (pro-kit) on my Mazda3 sedan considering I drive around 420 miles a week? It would be for appearance purposes only. Should I be concerned about the accelerated wear and tear on other parts especially with the miles I will be putting on it.
