I recntly ordered several fruit trees. My problem is that since that time we had a flash flood. It washed a layer of mud across my property. I removed the mud as much as possible but now I found that the soil has become verry Alcaline.
Living in Arizona we expect Alcaline soil but this is between 7 and 8. Is there a way of lowering the Alcalinity without completely changing the soil ?:( Thanks

Adding lime to your soil solves the problem here in red clay hills of Georgia. Check with your county extension agent for the proper amount. Each county here has such an agent who advises on argriculture.
