    Check cashing after levi
    I have nad an account garnished at my credit union. Is that effective only for deposited funds, or will they snatch funds from checks I attempt to cash at a teller window?

    Outside a credit union it's only funds in the account; I would check the bylaws and rules of the credit union. I would not be 100% sure of anything.

    I know some credit unions are privately held.
