    Shower stems
    I have a mixit single handle shower faucet, i am trying to remove the stem to replace it, i have tried to remove the bonnet and the stem but it won't budge, what should i do before i spend the money for a plumber.:mad:

    Hi Ebhawkins:

    Hey... you got the handle off... yes?

    What tool are you using to remove the NUT.. You should be able to use a SOCKET set with correct size socket or you could go purchase a plumber's shower valve/stem wrench set (about $20.00 or less at home depot... see pictures below).

    Basically, the nut should come off without too much issue if you have the right tool.
