Shower Plumbing Ploblem Low Pressure
I lived in SW Florida, lived in same home for 20 years that has a well. The shower water is coming out very slow. I have replace the head, that did not work. I took of the head , poured vinegar down it, thinking there is a clog of mineral deposits, it still is clogs. The water comes out of the tub faucet very strong, so it is from the that faucet up. Any help, would be deeply appreciated.

There is, I took off the head. There is very little water coming out of the pipe, so I know the problem is below the head level. I am going to get a new head anyway. One that does not have a restrictor. I the mean time. I must find where the restriction is. Is it build up lime deposits, is it in the converter that turns the faucet from tub to shower?

What kind of shower valve do you have (single handle, two, three) and how old. How is tub flow? Does diverter divert all the water to the shower head?

So you have a single lever valve on the wall. Do you know the brand? Is the diverter part of the valve or is it on the tub spout? Can you post pic?

The diverter is part of the tube faucet. It does not have a brand. Do you think I should replace it?

Replace. There are basically two types. One that screws on to the pipe and one that is held on by a set screw. Should be fairly easy task and not expensive.
