Question on state taxes for L1 visa
    Hi

I am confused for Ohio state taxes

I wanted to know that for filing state tax for Ohio state is there something like a standard deduction. If yes then how much is the amount for standard deduction

If I claim standard deduction on my federal taxes can I claim standard deductions on state taxes?

Instead of standard deduction on my state taxes can I claim itemized deductions on my state taxes even though I have claimed standard deduction for federal taxes

I was filing this online form for Ohio state tax and it gave me a link for "itemize your deductions here" so I was wondering whether I can claim itemized deductions too?
Can I claim standard and itemized deductions both on the state taxes?
This is for L1 visa status
Any input on this would be of great help

    Thanks

I believe Ohio does have a standard deduction, but I do not know what is is off-hand.

Generally, if you claim the standard deduction on your federal return, you must do the same on the state return.
