My cat ran away 3 weeks ago around 4-5 weeks ago, I have a male cat also which got the chop and my female cat was awaiting her operation. The female cat had a white gel like substance come out of her 5 days ago. 3 days after that she started bleeding quite heavily, the blood lessened over the next day. However, I was concerned and took her to the vet who gave her a scan. The vet detected a small lump with no bones in it. The vet actually wasn't very useful and I am confused as to whether my cat is still pregnant. The blood is more like spotting now, she has become very affecionate and is making low mewing sounds. Her teats are big and pink and the back ones seem to be slightly bloated under the skin. I just wanted some help in knowing if she is still pregnant. I may have to just give her more time. And before anyone suggests telling me, she is going to be spayed after.

If your vet wasn't very useful take the cat to another vet near you, your cat is worth it.

If she ran away 21 days ago and was in heat when she ran away, mated and got pregnant then she should not be bleeding because she would not be far along enough to havethe kittens.

Even if your male cat got her 4-5 weeks ago she still would not be far enough along to be ready to deliver...

Yep, you need to take her to anouther vet.
