    Do I have a claim?
I fell on some glass which became lodged in my leg about 30 years ago. The doctor at the time missed it, stitched me up and sent me home. A year later I fell again (clumsy cow), had an x-ray as the site became black and swollen, found glass, doc removed a piece. For the last 2 years I have been in pain at the same site and been to my GP several times convinced that there is still glass in there. I finally convinced him I need another x-ray, Lo and behold, there is still glass in my leg! Can anyone tell me where I stand, do I have a claim and if so, against who? The glass cannot be removed as it has embedded itself in my bone... so they say?

I really doubt you have a claim because
*glass is not able to be removed/can it be proven it could have been removed 30 yrs ago?
*Can it be proven you are having problems due solely to the glass and doctors neglect?

The statute of limitations has run out a long time ago for you to file a lawsuit on this. Sorry.

sorry, 1st, 30 years ago, most glass would not even show up on a lot of x-rays. To find glass they often poked around to feel it. Most glass that is not found merely works it way up to the surface over a few years, and will come out. Some larger ones will not, But there is no case against anyone at this point and time
