    Fuel Pressure Relief Value
    I have a 1993 ford taurus 3.8L V6 automatic GL. Can you tell me where the "fuel pressure relief value" is located on my car? Also, what tool do I need to use to relieve the fuel pressure from this value?

    You should see it coming directly off the fuel rail. Likely, it's mounted with two hex head cap screws, with a vacuum hose going to the top of the round, steel valve.

    Depressurize the fuel system by disconnecting the connector going to the inertia switch, likely located on the inside right of the trunk, starting the car, and waiting for the engine to "stumble." Alternatively, remove the fuse (it may be 20 A Fuse No. 10,), in the under-hood fuse box, that controls power to the fuel pump, start the car, and wait for the engine to stumble.

    Be sure to disconnect the negative battery cable, before opening the fuel system.
