    Harbor Breeze Teak Ceiling Fan
On 5/21/05, we built a house and the builder installed our Harbor Breeze Teak Ceiling Fan Item #70085 Model #TK52MBK5CR that we purchased from Lowe's. However, the builder through away the instruction manual and other documents that could help me resolve my current problem.

The fan just stopped working and the remote does not turn on the light or the fan and I have changed the battery in the remote. I am in need of a website to download the manual for the fan to determine the troubleshooting steps. I have questions such as: Is the fan receiving the signal from the remote? Does the remote need to be reprogramed? Did the transmitter in the remote fail or did the receiver in the fan fail? Is there another battery in the fan itself? Etc.

Any suggestions or input that would assist me in determining the problem?

    Thank you very much.

    Dennis

No battery in the receiver, just in the transmitter. Does this fan have pull chains?

Does the LED light up when you use the remote?

Check the frequency of the remote and receiver, and try another set if they match.

I have the same problem. Is there a fuse in the switch on the wall?

JD please start your own question by clicking ASK. Joining posts confuses us old guys. No fuse on the wall switch but the circuit will have fuse or breaker in the main panel.

We have a harbor breeze ceiling fan. The blades have quit turning but the motor continues to hum when switch is on. Any suggestions as to what the problem may be? I called Lowe's and they told me to turn the blades by hand with the switch off and if I heard a buzz it was probably the ball...

I replaced the pull switch for fan motor. In the process of rewiring the new pull switch, the black wire from old switch was not connected, so when I replaced with new switch I connected black wires. The light works but fan doesn't. The switch is a 4-wire pull chain switch.
