    Dark Front Room
We live in a house with the family room in the middle of the house and there is only a glass door that lets in light. I have installed some track lighting but would like more ideas on how to make the room lighter and brighter. I have also painted the room. The exterior wall is brick. Please give me any ideas. Thanks

I've always found that less furniture in a room helps as well...
Candles might work too... throughout the room...

Besides that, it sounds like you've already done the best tricks in the book w/ the new paint and overhead lighting...

Maybe a mirror might add some reflected light from the door and track lighting...

I'm getting ready to install a tubular skylight to my dark living room. The small one will light up 150 sq ft.

Skylights sound like a good way to light up that room.
