    New Hot Water Tan Installed
Hi, we just had a new hot water tank installed by our landlord earlier today. He told us that we should have hot water in a few hours. Well, its been about 6 hours and the hot water is still freezing cold. The breakers for the tank are turned on but not heating up. Anyone know why?

The water should feel warn in the first half hour. Have you opened up the top inspection plate and checked the red overload button on the thermostat ? If that don't get it call the installer back. Either he installed it wrong or the heater's faulty. Either case you shouldn't be involved. Don't do any work that might void the warranty. Good luck, Tom

Thanks Tom, I will mention that when he comes back to take a look at it. Says he's bringing an electrician with him. Shouldn't it be a plumber?

In this case a electrician is needeed to check out the feed to the heater. It stopped being a plumbing problem when the heater was installed with no leaks. Hope he can get you all fixed up. Those cold showers might get you clean but they leave me kind of blue with goose bumps all over my body. Good luck, Tom

Thanks, electrician came and there was a problem with the fuse box I guess when it was installed they tripped the fuse. All working good now, good to have hot showers again. No goose bumps here!
