Not a chemist, but I do PH tests on chemicals at work every day, I have to find a percent and add a acid at 1 ph to see how much it takes to get it to 7 ( which is nuetral) What I do is just start with a droper, and keep adding 10 drops at a time and check PH, I then start adding 4 or 5 drops as I watch it drop and then may add one or two drops till I get to my required result.
And actually it is sodium hydroxide in mixture that I work with also.

A little larger than I work with I do more the 10 ML
So work with table spoons perhaps, just take your time, it can take a lot but do it slow or you will add too much to fast

Tell me what the difference in result would be if I were to use purified water instead of distilled water? I didn't have distilled water at the time

Will be ( most likely) slightly higher PH, most likely just take more.
Lemon juice should be the best to use.

So with purified water I should just use more? As of now I have used 1300 ml of h20 and about 75-100ml of vinegar, I also took a lime and drained the juice from it add it to the solution which is around 1700 ml now and I'm down to a 13 in ph.. crazy how this ph doesn't want to come down for me! Would heating it help?
