1991 Accord EX manual will not start
My 1991 Accord EX suddenly will not start. The car drove normally, I parked it overnight, and the next day it would not start. It does not turn over. There is a voltage drain from 12.5 to 12.0 while moving the key to "start", but the starter makes no noise or clicking. The CEL turns off after 2 seconds, I can hear the main relay clicking, and that's it. I had a similar problem 8 years ago, and the main relay was resoldered, which resolved the issue. So, I pulled the relay, it looked rough, so I replaced it, but the problem remains the same. The problem does not change if I try to jump start it, and the car will not roll start. All electrical accessories, radio, windows, lights, etc, work normally. The car has a new battery, battery cables, and alternator, which I replaced 6 weeks ago.

Because the main relay swap did not fix the problem, I'm slightly frustrated and uncertain how to proceed.

. Test all under-dash and under-hood fuses with a test light or multimeter:

Be very thorough and careful. Many rush this step and find out latter it would have saved them hours of work and hundreds of dollars spent on unnecessary parts.

. Read the link below, since the car won't crank:

. Perform tests, in Sections A and B, below:

If the problem persists, check the ignition switch:

Hi all. My 1991 Nissan pickup is really sluggish and sputters in first and second gear. The wiring harness that connects to the battery was...

My 1991 Honda Accord EXR seems to have a problem with the torque converter not locking up. You can tell because at 100k the RPM is at about 3000rpm and once the car gets warmed up (about 1/2 hour of driving) the RPM drops to about 2600rpm and you can tell the converter is locked in. Any ideas of...
