    Faulty high pressure switch
    Hi.I need to know if I can change out a faulty high pressure switch screw type on a Rheem with out losing any freon.

    Not unless they changed the pressure switch from years ago to a depressor type that is in use on some systems especially autos. I would be safe and recover the refrigerant,chenge switch and pull a good Vac and recharge to proper operating pressures/temps.
